International Treaties

Æfira honors its responsibilities as a member of the community of nations. It is committed to upholding its international agreements and fulfilling its treaty obligations.

The King, or a representative acting in his name, is empowered to negotiate and sign treaties with foreign states. Treaties must then be ratified by Parliament before they enter into effect and have the force of law.

Treaties to which Æfira is a party are published by His Majesty’s Stationery Office.
